At the end of Week 6 we had our junior syndicate assembly hosted by Mrs Buckley and Room 2. During our junior syndicate assembly each class shared something that we have been learning to do in class. We shared some stories and Bada, Julie and Watalu read their stories about the swimming carnival.
This week we also finished off our colour wheels. We were learning to mix primary colours, like red and blue together to create new colours like purple.
In maths we played a cool game called tremendous trees! We had to draw a base for our tree and colour in and cut out some triangles that were used to make our tree. Once we had done this we were put into groups of 3 or 4 and we each rolled a dice to see how many triangles we were able to use to make our trees. Once we had stuck these on, we then needed to work together as a class ordering and comparing our trees' height so we could rank them from shortest to tallest. We were learning one of our school values from RICE - Cooperation!
