On Monday, Sally from Watercare came to visit us. She talked to our class about where the water and all our waste goes after we unplug the sink or flush the toilet. We learnt that this water goes down some pipes and to the wastecare station where superbugs munch all the bad bugs before being zapped with UV lights and sending the waste water out to sea. We also learnt about water in outside drains and how this water goes straight out to sea. We made a mountain range with rocks and plastic and poured water on this to see how streams and rivers are formed and how this water eventually runs out to sea.
