Planting a Kauri

Last term Evie bought in a baby Kauri tree that she was given. Miss Hughes has been looking after it until the shade house was built. We have waited patiently for Mr Barnes to get everything ready so he is able to look after the baby Kauri before planting it in our school grounds, once it is big enough. On Friday we watched Mr Barnes re-pot the Kauri and put it in the shade house. He then turned on the watering system and we thought that was very cool! Evie even noticed that his hose had a hole in it and was leaking, which we all agreed was not so great as it was wasting precious water. Here are some photos of our little excursion.
