It was autumn in Room 3 this week! We started the week by going on an autumn walk and then writing a recount about our experience. We were learning to use 'juicy words' (adjectives) in our writing. We brainstormed some words together and then used these words in our stories throughout the week and our cinquain poems. Cinquain poems are pretty tricky to write when we are used to writing sentences but we all did a great job! Please take some time to listen to Veni, Siya and Kevin Yang's podcasts of their cinquain poems. In music we used musical instruments. We were learning to listen to the beat and play our instrument at the correct time.
On Friday Room 3 were the hosts of the junior school assembly . Bada, Hannah, Ariana and Julie helped Miss Hughes use the microphone to help organise the assembly. They did a great job.
Watalu had some interesting news to share. He found a slug on the way to school. We were all very interested when he showed the slug for news but we all decided it was best to put the slug back outside in the garden in a nice shaded area.
