Week 6 was an exciting week in Room 3 because we went on our first school trip this year to MOTAT! We are learning about old and new toys so we visited MOTAT to look at some of the wonderful old toys in Katie's classroom. We were all very interested and our favourite toys were the wooden toys.
Following on from our assembly last week we met with our buddy class on Friday. We became toy designers for the afternoon! We were shown a picture of a rubber ducky and a jack-in-the-box and we were asked to use the BAR Thinker's Key to make something Bigger, Add something and Replace or Remove something from either the rubber ducky or the jack-in-the-box. We worked with our buddy to come up with some ideas and then drew pictures of our new toys. Have a look at Lata and Melaia's ideas and Jennah and Bada's ideas!We have some of these on display in our classroom as well.
Some of us also recorded some podcasts of our MOTAT trip so look out for those appearing on our blog during the week.
