WEEK 5 TERM 1 2012

This week we have had Mrs Chambers in our class teaching us Maori and we made some cool greeting cards saying Kia Ora or Morena on them and they looked like flowers.

Unfortunately the weather has not been our friend this week and our swimming carnival was postponed until next week. We also missed out on some lessons due to the wind and rain! Hopefully next week will be much better!

In art we started to learn about sketching a self portrait and we will continue these next week so please look out for future postings of our finished work.

In maths Miss Hughes put up our pictograph of our favourite ice cream flavours. The most common flavour choice in Room 15 is Hokey Pokey - which coincidently (or possibly not) also happens to be the picture around our room number outside! We also did a birthday chart and the most common month for birthdays in Room 15 is May.

For science we did an experiment about making goo. It was so much fun and we all decided that our goo felt really weird.
